WORK EXPERIENCE
As a young boy, Miller Quintin Jr., was not a stranger to odd jobs. He once sold ice candy to farmers at the La Trinidad Valley. He also sold bread like "butchi" and "long john" by knocking on his neighbor's doors and shouting out his goods during early morning.
When he was a teenager he helped at the family farm in Bineng, La Trinidad. Together with his brothers they spent their summer vacations in the farm learning life lessons that only experience can give.
Miller also tried selling promotional goods door to door. Goods like stuffed toys, penlights, educational books and electronic gadgets. At one time he volunteered as a nurse at the Benguet General Hospital.
After earning his nursing degree he was elected as the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet. It was his stint as an ex-officio kagawad that he was to be immersed in local governance. At the Municipal SK Federation level he was elected as the secretary and kept the records of the organization and at the same time did clerical and administrative functions. In 1999, while still in the middle of his term as SK chairman, he enrolled in law school and later earn a law degree from the Baguio Colleges Foundation.
At the end of his term as an SK chairman, Miller ran for and was elected as a regular Sangguniang Barangay Kagawad. In 2007 while in private law practice he was asked by the newly elected Municipal Mayor, Artemio Galwan, to be the Municipal Legal Officer of La Trinidad. Reluctantly giving up his practice and resigning as a barangay kagawad, he immered himself in public service and was subsequently appointed as the Municipal Administrator in 2009.
After a change in administration, Miller returned to private law practice.
